Wilmac
have developed in conjunction with local environmental
authorities, a cost
effective
filtration
basket system for surface
inlet storm water collection pits. Our filter bags material is 1000 microns.
For residential properties which is the application we designed them for, this
size filter is a more
realistic level of filtration. A finer filter may be more effective against oil
contaminants but for most
home owners the finer filter would a problem and more prone to blockages and
could cause flooding.
Our enviroscreen filter removes most contaminants prior to entry into the public
storm water system
lowering the load on the existing treatment devices.
Wilmac Enviroscreen Baskets have been
designed not to interfere with the
cross flow
between pits in the onsite storm water system. The filter
bag can easily be removed and cleaned for re-use or
replaced by
the home
owner at a fraction of the
costs of currently available products
and without the need
for expensive maintenance contracts.
These units are made to order only because of the many variations in pit tops.
If baskets are required
where grate
and frame in surround is to be used please nominate these baskets when ordering
your
pit tops.
